How to Receive Assistance:

The past few years have been financially difficult for many people. Loss of job, increased medical costs, change in families, the list is long and may be different for you. That is why the HAFP is here to help you. We know that it is sometimes difficult to ask for help.  Our registration process is simple.  Our job is to make you feel comfortable and provide quality food items.
What is your service area?
We serve the communities of Big Rock, Hinckley, Maple Park, and Waterman.
What if I don't live in your area?
We will help you with groceries one time and also refer you to another pantry that serves your home area.
What do I need to bring the first time I visit?
You need to bring  a photo ID and two proofs of residency such as a utility bill, or copy of a lease. Also please bring the birth dates of all the people who live in the same household with you.
How often may I visit?
You may visit our pantry twice a month.

Where do I go?
Pull into the parking lot at the corner of McKinley and View near the church entrance with an awning. There will be a set of numbered cards on a stand. Take the next card  and then either pull your vehicle into the line parallel to the building or wait in your car until there is room for you to pull into the line. The line will form in numerical order.

When your number is called, you will walk inside and register.  Volunteers will help carry the groceries to your car.

What Food Items do you offer?

Groceries include non-perishable food such as cereal, pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna/chicken, jelly, peanut butter, pancake mix and syrup, packaged dinners, canned vegetables and canned fruit. Also included when available are perishable items such as frozen meat, frozen bread, fresh produce; and personal care items including laundry soap and toilet paper..
